Pillowcases are fun to make and a great project for the absolute beginner! This pillowcase tutorial is quick and easy that you’ll be finding yourself making pillowcases for everyone!
I’ve been wanting to make fun pillows in bright colors and fun patterns for a while. I finally had an excuse to and couldn’t wait to share this pillowcase tutorial with you. I’m not much of a seamstress beyond sewing class in school and a few pillow covers and curtains for my home. It looks like it could be complicated but it’s actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
This easy pillowcase tutorial is super quick to make as it takes just about half an hour. It’s a great project for the absolute beginners since it doesn’t involve anything complicated, just some straight lines and simple stitches.
These pillowcases can be an awesome gift and make a great addition to your DIY home decor. Also a wonderful way to clean up your fabric scraps stash.
I’ve used a photo from Melly Sews because she is one of the many people who are making bright colored upbeat pillow cases for charities and donating them to children with cancer. I think this is such a lovely idea…a way to brighten these children’s days in a small way and help them feel better while fighting life changing illnesses. The fabric comes from Caroline’s Happy Home Fabrics and can be ordered on her website. I just love it!
Watch how this lady with Missouri Star Quilt Company makes these pillow cases in her step by step tutorial and you can donate to these precious children too.
