Do your part for our environment—and your purse—by making your own Christmas crafts from recycled materials instead of going out to buy something new. Sure, it is the season to be jolly, but it’s also the season to be aware of all the trash we create! These crafts can be made with items that you already have in your home, and they’ll leave you feeling proud of the incredible decorations you’ve created with stuff that may otherwise just be wasting space or be dumped in the garbage.
I’m already an owl lover, so when I saw this, I just had to make some of these! I know there are a lot of owl lovers out there, besides myself…there wouldn’t be so many owl accessories otherwise.
I have an Exotic Shorthair cat named Bentley and he looks like an owl! The resemblance is uncanny. When I first saw his face, I had to have him! So, obviously, I love owls!
These little cuties make great whimsical gifts too! You can perch a couple of them on a tree branch and attach some jute to hang it. I’ve also seen people make the eyes with bottle caps and put the buttons inside of the bottle cap…also adorable! There are many things you can do to give these little guys different personalities. That’s what’s so much fun about this project!
Or, what’s cuter than a few owls sitting in your Christmas tree or trimming a package? These are so easy to make with a bit of leftover cardboard and little black beads or buttons for the eyes.
