Here’s your inspiration for putting old wooden crates to use. If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, then look no further…this is it! How unique is this coffee table made out of an old shipping crate? The other benefit of this coffee table is that the top lifts up for some roomy storage!
I found this handsome old box at an antique store in town and it was in their clearance section. It was marked down but didn’t have a price on it, so I went back inside to ask about it, fully expecting it to be too expensive…I lucked out…it was $20. What a bargain!
This table will certainly be the conversation piece of your home. I mean, how many shipping containers do you see displayed in a home? Things that are different like this are right up my alley and screams my name!
If you’re looking to add some rustic appeal to your home, this will definitely do just that. He didn’t stain the table he does in this tutorial, but they look fabulous left in their natural state or with a nice stain on them. I added short hairpin legs to mine, whereas he didn’t when he made his. So you always have that option.
