I’ve always been a huge fan of repurposed DIY projects because I love the process of turning a simple item into fancy decor. The transformation is just so amazing and it’s also a very practical idea because you get to use stuff that is otherwise considereed as trash and you can also save money that way. What’s even better about DIY decor projects is that you can customize them to look however you want.

One of the most recent projects that I’ve come across is this one by Crafting With Yoo on YouTube. This adorable Christmas tree is made up of only washcloth, it doesn’t require any sewing or hot gluing, all you have to do is to make the right fold, then roll it around, and voila! You now have your own mini Christmas tree and you can make a couple of them to decorate your table.
Step 1
Lay the washcloth on a flat surface with its wrong side up and the tag at the bottom or facing you. Fold the bottom edge up, then pleat as shown in the video, and flip it over. Fold the right edge into a triangle, continue rolling, keep the edges lined up, and tuck in the bottom.
Step 2
Insert the folded washcloth into the cupcake liner or muffin cup, then insert the star cake topper at the center and top of the washcloth, and then securely insert the glitter foam balls in between the folds. Decorate the washcloth in other ways as demonstrated in the video.
