Remove the tag and the stem from the pumpkin foam. Paint the whole pumpkin white. Let it dry completely.
Get the mop head and disassemble it. You can do about one foam pumpkin per mop head. Pull the strands out of the mop head.
If you want it in a different color, fill a shallow dish with some water then add chalk paint in your preferred color. Soak the strands in paint water. Squeeze then place them on a parchment paper. Let them dry completely before doing the next step.
Wear your fingertip protector. Fold one strand in half. Glue the folded part on the top of the pumpkin, trim it down to length, and glue it to the center bottom with hot glue. Start by adding evenly spaced strands, then fill in the sections as you go. Make sure to fill in all the gaps with small strands.
Grab faux leaves and pop them on the top for the stem. Glue them in place and you are done.
