If you are already done with that quilt, it’s time to make this mini rhombus table runner! I am a big fan of this pattern as it’s easy and quick to make. Yes, it is simple, even though it may not look like it. With the template, you can finish the quilt in just a day. It’s the perfect last-minute project. Stack light, medium, and dark 5″ print squares and cut them in half. Set aside the half.
Remove the light rectangle. Place the template on top of the medium and dark rectangles and cut the sides to make rhombus shapes.
Take the light rectangle. Place the template with the bigger triangle on the fabric with the edge aligned on the middle line. Cut the sides to make a triangle. Flip the template and cut the triangle on the remaining fabric.
Repeat steps 1 to 3 for the other square.
Arrange the pieces just like in the photo below. The dark rhombus will go on the left, the medium one will go to the right, and the triangles are always on top. Repeat and connect the squares together.
Sew them row by row. Press them flat. Once the rows are done, sew the rows together to form the blocks.
Cut the pointed top straight with a ruler, then add the border.
