I wasn’t always very good at painting and like many others, I started with zero knowledge, and in time improved my skills through practice. One of my favorite artworks to make are watercolor paintings because they are very easy to work on and they make one of the most beautiful projects ever!

If you are also a beginner and are trying your hands at watercolor painting or simply looking for another project to keep you busy, then check out this video tutorial by Jay Lee Painting on YouTube to learn how to paint a beautiful sunflower using watercolor.
Step 1
Place a small round glass or object on a canvas, then trace the shape, and dab the wet paintbrush onto the yellow watercolor. Make an outward stroke from the edge of the circle applying pressure at the start and finish as demonstrated in the video.
Step 2
Keep adding petals around the edge of the circle, then let it dry completely, you can use a hair dryer to speed up the process, and then add petals in the spaces between the petals.
Step 3
Paint the center of the sunflower adding details with white paint and using a Q-tip, then line the center of some petals with yellow watercolor, and proceed to draw the stem and leaves as shown in the video.
