Fill the aluminum tray with charcoal briquets.
Drizzle some charcoal lighter.
Place a piece of cardboard and light it up using a lighter. Let the coal ignite until they are covered in ash. This will take about 15 to 20 minutes. This means they have reached a consistently high temperature and are ready to cook your food.
Place the wire rack on top and cover half with aluminum foil. The aluminum part will keep your food from burning.
Grease the wire rack and aluminum foil and you are ready to start cooking.
