Are you having guests in just a few minutes and looking for the fastest way to chill a beverage? If you are, let Chris Notap teach you how to do it in 90 seconds. It may sound like it’s impossible but it is actually possible. I was also skeptical at first, but after I saw the video tutorial, I was convinced. It is a party saver if you forget to chill the drinks hours before the event.

If you think you need special equipment for this, no, you don’t! You only need a drill. Yes, you read that right, but you are not going to use it to make a hole in the can. You will use it to rotate the can quickly, which helps to cool it in just a few seconds. It may sound like it’s not going to work, but trust me, it is effective. It’s a great way to impress your friends and families while having a picnic or cookout.

What You Need to Chill a Beverage

  • powerade bottle (7 3/4″)
  • 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ bolt
  • two washers
  • nut
  • blade
  • ice
  • cooler

Note: the bottle should have 3 bumps on the side and a flat bottle cap

How to Chill a Beverage

Step 1:

Take the cap and drill a 1/4″ hole in the center.

Step 2:

Insert one washer to the bolt, then insert them both into the cap from the inside. Attach the other washer to the other side then lock with the nut.

Step 3:

Take the bottle and cut it all the way around between the letter D and E. Cut the way up to get the half top part of the bottle.

Step 4:

Drill two large holes on the side.

Step 5:

Attach the drill bit into the bolt.

Step 6:

Push the pop can in the bottle, making sure that the tab is facing downwards.

Step 7:

Fill a cooler with ice, then add some water.

Step 8:

Make sure your drill is on low speed, not high speed. Dip the can into the ice water, then turn on the drill full speed on low for 90 seconds.

Step 9:

Drain the water inside the bottle then take off the beverage.
