Making these flowers is super easy and simple, and I’m sure that you can pull it off even on your first try. Just follow the steps written below and while you’re at it be sure to watch this video tutorial by Your House a Home TV on YouTube for more details.
Step 1
Get a colored coffee filter, then fold it in half, and again in half pressing the seams nicely. Unfold it once, then cut along the fold, and then cut little slits at the top edges of the filter as shown in the video. Roll it over tightly, then hold it together, and twist the ends before setting it aside.
Step 2
Take 4 layers of white coffee filters, then fold them in half and again in half, and cut along the folds about halfway down. Fold it one more time and cut along the fold, then draw the shape of the petal however you want, and cut it out.
Step 3
Unfold the coffee filters all the way, then curve the edges of the petals, and place the brown flower petal piece on the inner edge of the white petal layers. Hot glue them in place, then slowly roll the ends over until you reach the other end, and secure the edges with hot glue.
Step 4
Open each petal nicely, then trim the stem with leaves to size, cut a little hole at the bottom of the flower, and adhere the stem to the bottom of the flower with hot glue. You can make other colors of flowers by painting the petals first and then allowing them to dry completely before assembling the flowers.
