DIY Teacup Gnome Tutorial

Are you looking for a fun fall project this weekend? Make this DIY teacup gnome from Glitzy Stitches Home By Shawnie Lee on YouTube! I swear, this is the cutest gnome you’ll ever make. You can also use a thrifted teacup and saucer for this DIY, making a good thrift flip project to do with your friends or family. It’s also super easy to make, unlike other DIY gnomes that could get pretty complicated. Check out the video tutorial below to learn the step by step instructions. Materials:
- teacup and saucer
- a piece of fabric
- a small piece of pool noodle
- Dollar Tree toy baby shoes
- a piece of faux fur, cut and shaped as a gnome beard
- wooden bead
- hot glue gun
- scissors
- elastics
- flowers (optional)
Directions:
Step 1
Cut a small piece of pool noodle and wrap it with your chosen piece of fabric. Fasten it with hot glue and cut the excess. Tie the rest with elastic. Next, place the pool noodle body a little offset to the back of the saucer and glue it. After this, attach the nose (wooden bead) one-fourth to the top of the body, then the beard (faux fur) just below the nose.

Step 2
Next, attach the teacup on top, gluing it in place, then the toy baby shoes at the bottom of the beard. (You can paint the shoes if you don’t like the color.) Just make sure you glue the same fabric used in the body at the bottom of the shoes for coherence. Finally, decorate your gnome with some faux flowers. Your DIY teacup gnome is now finished!
