Inexpensive Battery Remote Control Hack Using a Pencil

Did you find your remote control to suddenly not be working or at least one battery isn’t, then don’t worry because Smart Fox on YouTube has got a handy and effective trick for you. This hack isn’t fancy and wouldn’t even cost you any money, if you have a pencil anywhere in your house, then you’re all good. Using only that pencil, you can make your remote control work just until you can find a new set of batteries to replace the old ones. It is also very important to note that to make this trick work, you have to have at least one working battery and remember that this fix isn’t permanent and is only expected to help you in emergency situations temporarily. It is not recommended to do this trick for a prolonged period of time, so after doing this trick, make sure to replace your batteries with new ones as soon as you can. Find a pencil and sharpen it first if it still hasn’t been sharpened, then measure the pencil from the tip so that it’s the same size as the battery compartment, and score it with a cutter. Carefully cut the pencil and break it off, then sharpen that side as well, and insert it into the battery compartment making sure that both points are touching the corresponding contacts on both sides. Leave a working battery on one side and check if you’re remote control is now working.
