Looking for easy, fun, and quick-to-make Valentine’s decorations at home? Shabby Fabrics on Youtube got you covered. This beautiful project is such a lovely piece you can hang on your door or wall. The instructions are very clear and simple – perfect to do on a weekend. If you’re not much into pink, you can choose different shades of red or vice versa. Read on or watch the video below to learn how to make the blushing heart wreath.
Note: for this project, she used: 1 solid white and 2 patterned white fabrics, 1 solid pink fabric, 2 patterned red fabrics
Cut all of your fabrics into 7 in by 2 in strips. Once done, organize them in colors and pattern you like.
Grab one of your strips, fold it in half lengthwise, then fold it again in half crosswise.
Loop it under one of the wires of the heart wreath. Insert the other free end into the loop and pull it nice and tight.
Take your second choice of the strip and do the same procedure in step 3. Continue repeating the process until you finish the first wire.
On the second wire, do the same pattern but make sure that the colors don’t match with the first wire to create a more scattered look. Just repeat the same colors all over again. Be sure not to leave any spaces. After that, do the same on the third wire until you fill the whole wreath and create a shaggy look.
