This DIY project idea by Svetlana AistCraft on YouTube is the best way to recycle old glass jars or glass balls and turn them into beautiful Christmas ornaments! This technique is super fun and creative, plus, it makes it look like your project was covered with ice crystals. If you want to learn how she did it, then proceed to read the instructions down below, and watch the video tutorial as well.
Step 1
Put some alcohol on a piece of cotton, then rub it around the glass balls and jar, and degrease until nice and clean. Once done cleaning, apply the glass primer around each ball and jar using a brush, then let them dry for about 48 hours, and then start coating them with white acrylic paint using a foam or sponge applicator. Add another layer of paint as needed, then set them aside, and let them dry completely. Grab your printed rice paper, then choose the picture that you want to use, and tear out the image from the rice paper. Brush some glue on the jar before placing the image, then brush all over it with glue until adhered to the jar completely, and glue another image on the other side of the jar.

Step 2
Set the jar aside to dry the glue completely, then repeat the same process with the glass ball as well, and leave it to dry completely. After drying, brush the matte varnish all over the image, then apply white acrylic paint using foam or a sponge around the edges of the image. While waiting for the paint to dry, mix together the bead paste and texture relief paste, then apply the mixture onto the jar and glass ball making sure to avoid the image, and let it harden before doing the final touches. Once dried and solid, apply some details using the crystal pen and glitter glue, then insert some hooks from a broken Christmas tree ball on the tip of the glass ball, and display them.
