Can you believe this 3-foot DIY spiral topiary from ChicOnTheCheap on Youtube is made out of just Dollar Tree items and a pool noodle? You read that right! No need to spend a lot buying expensive decorations if you can DIY your own. This project is especially super easy to do and perfect for a weekend project with friends or family. Watch the video tutorial below to learn how.
First, remove the broom head from the broom handle. Next, cut small sections of the woodgrain contact paper and apply them to the handle. Trim any excess paper. Next, cut the pool noodle in half long ways, so you are left with two long pieces, then tape the noodle to the top of the broom handle. After this, start shaping your spiral by turning and taping the noodle around the broom handle, making sure that you give the noodle a curved shape before taping it down. To create the third spiral, tape the two noodle halves together so they form one long noodle, then repeat the previous step.

Now, create a circle shape with the remaining portion of the noodle and tape it to the broom handle. This part will be the foundation of the topiary and will also help it sit on top of the planter. Next, using some hot glue, cover the whole noodle in floral moss. Lastly, depending on the size of your planter, trim down the broom handle to make sure the bottom of the topiary sits flat on top of the planter.
