This interesting but fun DIY socks by Hello Sewing on YouTube might be the easiest, simplest, and quickest sewing tutorial you’ll ever try! This sewing project idea can be done in as fast as 3 minutes, plus, you can use materials from old clothes or pants that you won’t be using anymore. Try it out now and see for yourself, read the step-by-step instructions down below and watch the video tutorial as well.
Step 1
Lay the stretchy fabric right side down, then place a slipper in your size on top of the fabric, and trace the shape out. Cut the traced shape, then flip it over to the fabric, trace the shape, and cut it out to complete the pair of exterior pieces. Trace one more pair on the sole fabric and cut them out, stack one base and one sole together with their right sides facing, then repeat the remaining pieces, and pin them together in place.

Step 2
Now, start to serge or zigzag stitch right around the edges of the socks, then draw a vertical line in the middle of each sock and mark them as shown in the video. Once done marking the socks, cut a slit at about 4.75 to 5.5 inches long, then turn the socks right side out, and serge or zigzag stitch right around the edges of the slit. You’re all done, try the socks on, and see if they fit!
