Transform An Old Chair Into A Cute Succulent Planter

If you have a rustic old chair and think that they have no use anymore, well think again. Instead of throwing it out into the junk, you might as well consider using it to create a fun and quirky planter for your succulents! It’s super simple and easy to make that you could create a couple of these in just a matter of minutes, plus, this doesn’t require any materials that are difficult to find. Materials:
- An old chair
- Paintbrush
- Paint
- Poultry netting
- Sheet moss
- Burlap sheet
- Potting soil
- Perlite
- Plants or succulents
Directions:
Step 1
The first thing that you have to do is to remove some parts of the chair and only leave the frame itself, then start dry painting the chair with the color of your choice, and let it dry before proceeding to the next step. However, the advantage of dry painting is the fact that it actually dries quicker. Next, get some poultry netting and cover the base of the seat with it creating a deep basket, then secure it well in place.

Step 2
Line up the bottom and sides of the seat basket, then place a sheet of burlap, and fill it with potting soil. Add some perlite to help with the drainage, then place the succulent, flowers, or any plant of your choice, and backfill with more soil to help keep it standing upright. Water and rehydrate your plants, then place them wherever you want, and you’re all done!
