8 Dollar Tree Modern Farmhouse Decor Ideas

Modern Farmhouse decor can be pricey, so why not find other alternatives such as making your own decor at a cheaper price? All of these ideas are Magnolia inspired, and I love Joanna Gaines. Her style is typically what I go for when it comes to home decor. She is the queen of the modern farmhouse style, and most of my friends are a fan of hers. I love a good DIY where I can find dupes and recreate something to come close to the original product. FABEDhacks does a wonderful job explaining in detail and giving advice on where to get these materials. She makes everything look so easy because her instructions are very detailed, which a lot of people will appreciate.

PROJECT #1- Large Succulent Terrarium

• recycled wide mouth jar (I used a South of the Border Salsa Jar) recycled wood lid from an old candle (can sub wood rounds available at craft stores)
• recycled lid from another jar or container (smaller than the lid the to the wide mouth jar that will fit inside and still allow the jar lid to close)
• recycled cap to soft drink (I used a vitamin water cap)
• Large wood bead

PROJECT # 6 – Baxter Lantern

• From Dollar Tree- 3 small photo/name card frames – any color
• Pack of wood dowels
• green garden wire
• battery operated votive candle (small with a holder or the larger one but will need to supply a holder for that one)
• Tabasco sauce (actually just want the box, the sauce is a bonus!)
• other materials- Aged copper spray paint, burnt umber craft paint, glaze medium, e6000 and hot glue

PROJECT #7 – Glass Grass Jar

I love all of these magnolia-inspired ideas, but my favorite would be the hanging wall note and the bud vase in a metal stand.
