I am from the coast of Texas and I’ve been through many weather events and one thing I do know all too well is that you never know when the power may go out. Even an ice storm in the winter months can affect the power by knocking down lines. Fortunately, many of us make a habit out of staying prepared but in case you are somehow caught off guard for whatever reason, it is really useful and intelligent to know some basic survival skills. On the top of that list is being able to see in the dark because if you have ever been through any situation where a complete power blackout has happened, you understand being in the dark makes everything one-hundred times worse. I found this excellent video on Youtube by The King Of Random and she had five great ideas to make homemade candles in a pinch and they were all ingenious and completely outstanding.
