This sour cream noodle bake casserole from The Country Cook on YouTube is nothing like you ever tasted before. It’s so flavorful; we have this almost every day! Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease your pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set it aside. Next, in a pan over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and the diced onions. Cook them until the meat turns brown, then add the garlic. Continue cooking until fragrant, then add a 15 oz can of tomato sauce, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp ground black pepper. Mix well and bring it to a simmer then turn the heat down to low. Continue to simmer for 15 minutes uncovered, stirring occasionally.
In the meantime, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Next, in a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of small curd cottage cheese, 3/4 cup sour cream, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and 1/2 tsp onion powder. Mix well, then stir in the cooked egg noodles. Once mixed through, start layering the ingredients: egg noodles, ground beef mixture, and shredded cheese. Repeat this until you fill up the casserole, making sure the top layer is the shredded cheese. Place it in the preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake for 20 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
