Cleaning is a huge part of my daily life and I’m sure that is yours, too, which is why it’s very important to know a few handy hacks that you can use in cleaning chores now and then.  One of the best tricks that I’ve learned recently is by Smart Fox on YouTube, and they are all so genius that I wished I had known them sooner!

Easy Cleaning Tips & Hacks:

#1: Vaseline

If you have a dirty kitchen hob and you hate cleaning it again and again, then try applying Vaseline all over it after cleaning it. First, give it a good wipe, then make sure that the surface is completely dry, and apply some Vaseline on a paper towel. Rub it on the surface in a circular motion, then buff it out with a microfiber cloth, and you’re done! This makes the surface shiny and removes minor scratches as well.

#2: Orange or Lemon Peel

The next time you eat or use oranges as an ingredient, make sure to collect the orange peels, then cut them into smaller pieces, and put them in a mason jar or glass with a lid. Next, fill the jar with vinegar until the peels are submerged, then seal the jar with the lid tightly, and store it in a cool and dark place. Leave it for about 1 to 2 weeks, then strain it over a spray bottle, and add water to it. Now, you can use this as an all-purpose cleaner.

#3: Candle Wax

Get a piece of candle, then drub it over the tile grout in your bathroom, and do it a few times to apply a thin layer of wax over the surface. Using your finger rub the area to work in the wax even more and remove the excess at the same time. What this does is make water harder to penetrate through the grout and prevent it from getting dirty and forming mold.

#4: Shower Door

Put a bag of baking powder in a container, then add a small drop of dishwashing liquid, and add in some rinse aid. Lastly, add apple cider vinegar, then fill it with water, and give them a good stir. Grab a sponge and dip it in the mixture, then rub it over the entire shower door, and give it a good wipe to clean. This is effective in cleaning limescale stains and makes it harder for them to reappear.
