Love anything apple pie flavored, especially apple pie? If so, this will be your new favorite recipe for apple pies. This handheld apple pie recipe uses only a few ingredients, so they’re quick and easy to make. These are similar to apple fritters but even fluffier, which makes a perfect breakfast treat. I also love warming them just before serving a la mode for an easy dessert that’s beyond delicious. These are great to make ahead for a family gathering, potluck or picnic as well. Directions:
Step One
Cut up the apples in the apple pie filling into smaller pieces.
Step Two
Dust your cutting board lightly with flour so the biscuits don’t stick to it. Open your can of biscuits and take them out.

Step Three
Lightly flour one biscuit and then roll it out with a flour-dusted rolling pin using a press-and-roll method. Flip it over a few times as you do this. Roll it out to about the size of a small tortilla.
Step Four
Spoon the apple pie filling into the biscuit dough you just rolled out. Fold the dough over itself on top of the filling, then press the edges together.

Step Five
Crack an egg into a bowl, then mix it to use as an egg wash. Using a brush, cover the pies in a thin coating of egg wash.
Step Six
Place the pies on a baking sheet and place them in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Check them while they are in the oven to make sure they don’t need to be flipped or be cooked a little longer.
