To start, you will have to pick nine pieces of contrasting squares from the pack and arrange them into a nine-patch. Be sure to put your favorite fabric squares on the corners and not in the middle. After that, you will be cutting it in half in both directions and arrange them to make the pattern. How easy is that?

How to Make Love Notes Quilt Block

Step 1:

Take 9 of the squares and arrange them into a nine patch block. Make sure to alternate the colors. Sew them in rows first. Press the seams on the first and last row in the same direction and the middle row in the opposite direction. Once done, sew the rows together to make the block. Press it open. Repeat with the other squares.

Step 2:

Cut all nine patches in half horizontally and vertically.

Step 3:

Arrange the squares just like in the photo below. Sew them in rows first. Once done, sew the rows together to make the quilt top. Add border and backing. Quilt and enjoy!
