Are you looking for a quick and easy quilt pattern? Look no further than Phoebe’s flower box quilt! I found this beautiful pattern on Missouri Star‘s YouTube channel. At first, I thought it would be a simple quilt design because of how plain the block looks, but when I saw how the blocks were arranged, I was so impressed. It’s surely an eye-catching project.

The blocks are made of four rectangles in different colors sewn like a four patch, then bordered with background strips on two long sides. It’s very easy and fast to make. You can finish one in just a few minutes. Even beginners will master this block quickly. My favorite part is assembling the blocks.

Get four print strips in different colors and sew them in pairs. Cut each pair into 3.5″ units.
Take 2 pieces of 3.5″ units in different colors, then sew them together. Make sure to align the seams. Set the seams and press it flat.
Cut 1.5″ x 6.5″ strips from the background fabric.
Rotate the block so that one of the long sides is facing you. Place the 1.5″ x 6.5″ strips on the top and bottom of the block, and sew them together. Set the seams and press it flat.
Repeat steps 1 to 4 with the remaining units.
When arranging the blocks, make sure to alternate the orientation after each block to achieve the pattern. Try to mix and match the colors as much as you can. Sew them in rows first. Set the seams and press them flat. Once done, sew the rows together to make the quilt top.
