This old-fashioned fudge pie recipe by Paula Deen on YouTube shows how to make an easy and simple chocolate dessert. I love fudge and chocolate, so this type of pie is perfect for those that are a chocolate lover like myself. This is a type of dessert that reminds me of a brownie but in a pie crust. You can make this pie for any occasion or if you’re craving sweets, and it’s one of the easiest pies to make. Unlike fruit pies, you can make this all in one pan and stir in all of the ingredients. Old fashioned recipes are amazing because it’s a recipe that is passed down. If you want an overdose of chocolate, this fudge pie by Paula Deen is easy to make in less than 30 minutes. Even though you haven’t cooked or baked before, this recipe is easy to follow with simple instructions.
First, preheat the oven to 375F. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Remove the pan from the heat and add the sugar, then the eggs. Beat well.

Next, pour the filling into the pie crust and bake for 25 minutes or until set. Serve warm or cold with ice cream or whipped cream.
Note: for a thicker pie, use 1.5x the filling ingredients and bake for 40 minutes. Also, I love thicker pie because I’m a chocolate lover. So, I love when the pie is decadent and rich. This cake can be addicting if you like chocolate and sweets. The combination of pie and chocolate is perfect because I love pies just for the crust.
