Did you know you can make paper flowers using cupcake liners? Yes, you can! It’s an easy craft idea that anyone can try at home, perfect for absolute beginners!
I’ve already made different cupcake liner flowers, and a lot of people loved them. But they always asked, “How do you add a stem?” So in this tutorial, I’ll show you step-by-step instructions on how to do it. With stems, you can easily turn them into a paper flower bouquet that’s perfect for home decor or DIY party decorations. I also made leaves using the green cupcake liners for a complete look. They are totally optional, but they definitely add a nice touch to the flowers. I glued a floral wire to the center, so that they can bent nicely.

How to Make Paper Flowers With Cupcake Liners
Learn how to make easy paper flowers with these step-by-step instructions.
Stacking and and cutting
Stack 9 cupcake liners. I used 2 yellow, 2 pink, 2 light pink, and 3 green. Once stacked, cut the sides in 8 sections, just like in the photo below.Cutting the petals
Cut the top part of each one into a point.
Adding the cupcake liners
Poke the skewer through the center of the first cupcake liner, add hot glue to the top of the skewer, then crumple the liner around it. Be very careful, as the glue is hot.
Making the flower
Repeat step 3 with the remaining cupcake liners.
Covering the stem
Cover the skewer with floral tape.
Making the leaves
Fold a cupcake liner in half three times, then cut out a leaf shape. Take one of the leaves and glue a floral wire to the center.
Gluing the leaves
Top the leaf with floral wire with another leaf. Repeat the process to make more leaves. Glue them to the stem, then cover the ends with floral tape.
Making adjustments
Bend the leaves, and slightly separate the petals and you are done!
