This family favorite jelly nougat is for sure going to be the star of your parties and gatherings this holiday. Its fun and festive colors work well with Christmas, you can serve it as a fun giveaway, treat, or even give it as a gift. There is nothing more satisfying and unique than homemade candies. You no longer have to buy this in the store, because you can have this sweet treat easier, cheaper and tastier when you make it on your own. I found this tutorial on YouTube by Noreen’s Kitchen and her old-fashioned take on this classic candy is one to look forward to.

Ingredients:

  • 4tbsp Butter
  • 20oz Mini Marshmallows
  • 4 cups White Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups Gumdrops

Directions:

Step 1

In a large microwaveable bowl, add the butter and marshmallow then heat it for a minute, stir then re-heat for another minute. Stir it again until the butter and marshmallow are well combined. Add the white chocolate chips and stir, return it to the microwave for 30 seconds, and stir occasionally until the texture becomes smooth and sticky. Add the gumdrops and mix them until well combined.

Step 2

Prepare a 9×13 baking pan lined with parchment paper and greased with cooking spray. Make sure that the parchment paper is hanging on both sides so that it’s easier to remove the jelly nougat later. Pour the mixture onto the pan and place another parchment on paper on top, then spread evenly using your hands. Refrigerate up to overnight, then remove from the pan and peel the parchment paper. Cut the jelly nougat into small pieces.
