I just found the most amazing quilting video of all time by Teresa Down Under, on Youtube, where she makes an English paper pieced quilt with fussy cutting. I have to say, being an amateur quilter, I often wondered how these kinds of quilts were made and now I know, it’s all about the cutting. In a project like this English paper piece, you have to spend as much time cutting your fabric as you do sewing, so needless to say this is not your straightforward quilting project and it requires advanced sewing skills, so it is not for the novice seamstress or the faint of heart. Fussy cutting is a method of meticulously piecing together a quilting pattern only reserved for the very best fabrics that you really haven’t wanted to cut.
In this amazing quilting video of all time by Teresa Down Under, on Youtube, you will learn the old-school art of English paper piecing a quilt block.
Then, you will sew all of the pieces together according to the instruction in Teresa’s excellent video tutorial.

This is such a lovely project, I just love it! The hand sewing and folding is so relaxing, I see this kind of craft as therapy.
