I recently found this awesome small leftover fabric scrap zipper bag video tutorial, by DIY Handy Mum Lin TV, on YouTube, and it looked perfect for a gift idea to give quite a few of my family members. This project is super easy to make and has so many uses. The small zipper pouch is perfect for a wallet coin purse, or to carry makeup in. My very favorite part of this project is the lovely scrappy quilt pattern on the outside. I was thinking that that simple scrap fabric and denim pattern would make a great quilting idea for almost anything, I really love that pattern, and I haven’t seen anything like it before.

Materials For The Leftover Zipper Bag Project:

  • Some denim and other scrap fabric
  • Thread
  • A pair of scissors
  • A rotary cutter
  • A cutting mat
  • A sewing machine
  • A zipper
