Easy Way To Unclog Your AC Drain

The scorching heat of the summer season can be eased with fun water activities, but when you stay at home most of the time, then the only thing that’s going to give you some comfort is your AC unit. However, using them constantly may clog them over time and may even cause leaking to your ceiling, but don’t worry, because this now has an easy fix. Materials:
- Vacuum cleaner
- Rag or tissue
- Bucket
- Clear rubber tubing
- Hose clamps
- Pipe cutter
- Long wired pipe cleaner

Step 1
The first and easiest method that you can do is to vacuum the drain pipe of your AC unit. Find where the drain line goes, then check if the drip of the water is slow, and if it is then you have a clogged pipe. Grab a rag or tissue so that the end of the vacuum tube would fit perfectly and close the gap around at the same time, then insert the tube into the pipe wrapped with rag or tissue, and start sucking out all of the dirt and buildup that might be clogging the pipe.

Step 2
A more advanced option is by cleaning the condensate line but before anything else, make sure to turn off the power by the circuit unit. Next, look for the drain trap, and remove the door of your AC so that you can access the pan that allows water through the pipes. Go down the line or by a foot from the drain trap, then cut the pipe, and insert the pipe cleaner until it reaches the trap. Slowly slide the pipe cleaner out, then repeat a few more times until all the dirt is out. Grab a bucket of water and pour it onto the pan of the AC to push out the leftover dirt and buildup. Glue the pipe back together or insert a clear rubber tubing, then secure them with hose clamps, and put the door of the AC unit back.
