How To Sew A 3D Mask In 4 Minutes

I needed to make some professional-looking masks, and I was really hoping I could find a tutorial that did not require a pattern. I went searching the internet and found this amazing mask video tutorial by DIY Trefa on Youtube, that totally fit the bill. The instructions in this great video made this mask really easy to assemble and sew. The mask has a double thickness and opens from the inside, which forms a smooth contour alongside your nose and mouth. I’m so glad I found this mask tutorial because it’s constructed so well, yet so simple, even the beginner will not have any trouble pulling this little sewing project off. However, the masks that you can make at home are not proven to protect against COVID 19 and I have only made them in a pinch to wear with another disposable mask. Materials:
- Cotton fabric (adult size 25 x 35 centimeters) (children’s size 20 x 28 centimeters)
- Thread
- A sewing machine
- A pair of scissors
- A rotary cutter
- A cutting mat (optional)
- Elastic (for the earpieces)
Directions:
The instructions in this DIY video mask tutorial by DIY Trefa on YouTube, could not be more simple to follow. You start by cutting your fabric at the corners then sewing right sides together, leaving a small opening to turn the project right side out.
Then, you just sew in the elastic earpieces, and you are done!
