- Prepare your rock before painting. Soak the rocks in soapy water, scrub them with an old toothbrush to remove dirt, then rinse with water. Let them dry completely in the sun or oven before using.
- Pinky anchor. If your hands are shaky, try to rest your pinky finger on the table or on the dry part of the rock to stop your hand from wobbling.
