  • 1 cup of warm water (water needs to be lukewarm to activate the yeast)
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of dry active yeast (also called instant yeast)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil (or melted butter will be much better)
  • 1//4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup powdered milk
  • 2 1/2 cups of bread flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 extra egg (for egg wash)
  • 1st raising (1 hour)
  • 2nd raising (20 minutes)
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350°F
