There might be a time where you have something that is leather and it’s peeling, but there are simple tips and tricks by Christy Lyn on YouTube on how to fix the peeling. This hack is not going to make the leather look perfect or brand new, but it prolongs your couch. Materials:

  • Angelus Leather Paint (Rich Brown)
  • Angelus Leather Paint (Black)
  • (You can search for all kinds of colors and different brands on Amazon if you need a different color for your couch)
  • Angelus Acrylic Leather Matte Finish (topcoat)
  • Paint Brushes
  • Leather Cleaner Wipes
  • hairdryer
  • plastic cup (if mixing colors)
  • table knife, optional

Directions:

First, take a table knife or fingers to take the peeling leather off. Try to take as much as possible off until it is not peeling anymore. Next, make sure you add 5-6 layers to make it opaque. Paint on thick layers on the edges where it peels to the original so that it can camouflage the ridge or bump. You can paint the rest of the area of the couch or item so it can perfectly match and blend. Keep layering and use the hair dryer to dry it. Repeat.
