Cleaning a blender can be a hassle, but Clean My Space on YouTube shows how to clean a blender in 1 minute. Regardless of the kind of blender you are using, it’s the same quick and easy process. It makes sense that this cleaning hack works, but I’m surprised I’ve never thought about this technique. I remember growing up, my dad would love to make homemade meals so he would use the blender a lot. I would find it so annoying to wash especially if it was built up with food scraps such as garlic or hot chili pepper flakes. After watching this tutorial, I would never go back to hand washing my blender because I was wasting so much time.

Supplies:

  • dish soap

Directions:

First, do a quick rinse on the blender to remove any big chunks or residue from the food.  Then, add dish soap to the blender and add water halfway. Also, you could add water before adding the soap so that it is not stuck at the bottom.

Next, place the lid on top of the blender and put it back onto the bottom piece then blend well until clean. Pour the soap water out and rinse well.

Overall, it’s an easy process to clean without having to do scrubbing or hard labor. This makes me want to use my blender more often because I would dredge using it since it sucks to wash. Especially if you have a small sink or you’re blending a smoothie that has the fruits stuck around the crevices. I would recommend this hack to everyone because it saves so much time and effort in the kitchen. So, save the scrubbing and let the blender do the cleaning too.
