Replanting vegetables was a norm for me. My parents always had a garden growing up and I loved helping out. Every year there is a summer garden in my parent’s backyard with fully fresh herbs and fruits. When I came across Blossom’s video on Youtube, I was interested to see what hacks they had on replanting veggies. Fresh vegetables are the best and it’s easier than it seems. There’s a bunch of hacks in this video that was out of the ordinary, but super creative. Some seem bizarre and a little over the top, but then it’s the idea that matters. I might have to pull many of these tips and share them with my dad. One of the gardening hacks that caught my attention would be the strawberries. In the video, they slice off a thin slice of strawberry and plant them in the dirt. Apparently strawberries start to grow, but it doesn’t hurt to give it a try.

Some gardening hacks/tips:

  • replanting garlic in a water bottle
  • regrowing leek in a cup with water
  • replanting chamomile using the flowerheads from a teabag
  • adding rusty nails in a water bottle to water dead plants (iron in rust promotes oxygen)
  • how to keep dirt out of your fingernails
  • replanting slices of strawberries
  • turning mung beans into bean sprouts

My dad would put green onions in a bottle or plastic container with water, and it does grow.

My parents and I garden a lot, so dirt gets in our nails easily. (Even with gloves on sometimes) I can’t wait to try this hack of scraping soap into your fingernails.
