I love going to fairs and getting a nice funnel cake from the funnel cake stand, but I had never heard of a funnel cake grill cheese. Does such a thing even exist? Well yes, it does and let me tell you how to make it. The Funnel Cake Grilled Cheese is about the richest, most succulent thing you have ever eaten and the Strawberry Ketchup is totally amazing!

Funnel Cake Batter Ingredients:

  • 4 Ounces of Sharp White Cheddar Cheese  (grated)
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/8 Cup Melted Butter
  • 1 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • Oil (For Frying)

Strawberry Ketchup Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1 1/2 Cup Chopped Strawberries
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 to 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

Directions:

Mix all your batter ingredients and put in a plastic bag with the tip cut and squeeze into the hot oil.

Then add all your ingredients for the Strawberry Ketchup into a saucepan and cook over a medium heat stirring constantly.

Then arrange sliced Amerian Cheese fresh sliced strawberries onto your first funnel cake.
