Materials:

  • sour cream container
  • 3 tsp of sugar
  • 1 tsp of borax
  • some solid food (of your choice)

Directions:

Step 1

Start by piercing three holes around the sour cream container. Mix 3 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp of borax, then add some warm water to help dissolve while stirring. Back to the sour cream container, put a chunk of some solid food (in this case, a waffle was used) for the baby ants, then pour over the solution into the solid food. (Adult ants eat liquid.)

Step 2

Put the cover back on the container but do not seal it off completely. After a day, you will see that a large number of ants are already in the container. Leave it for another couple of days. After 2 days, add a little more sugar and borax solution. After another 2 days, check the plant and you will see that there are no more signs of the ants.
