Materials:

  • construction adhesive
  • 16 pcs. cinder blocks
  • 7 pcs. 4×4 posts

Directions:

Step 1

If you plan to paint or stain your posts, do it first before making the bench. Now, for the foundation of the bench, put two cinder blocks with the holes facing up followed by two additional cinder blocks stacked on top with the holes facing in the same direction as the first set of blocks. For the third level, the holes of the cinder blocks will face outwardly this time. The fourth level of the bench is going to consist of just one single block with the holes facing out. At this point, you can get your construction adhesive. Apply a few strips of glue on top of the last block you stacked, then put the last cinder block on top of the fourth level, with it in a standing position with holes facing out.

Step 2

Now, move over to the other side of the bench and just do the exact same thing over there. After this, take your 4×4 posts and slide them through the holes of the cinder blocks. (You do not need any adhesive for this part.) Your cinder block bench is now finished and ready to be used.
