Out of all the macaroni salad recipes I have tried before, this one by The Stay At Home Chef on YouTube has become one of my favorites. It’s so good and addicting, and I never thought that tuna would taste so good with it.

Ingredients for Tuna Macaroni Salad:

  • 1 pound of elbow noodles
  • 3 (5 ounces) cans of solid white albacore tuna, drained
  • 4 large hard-boiled eggs, diced
  • ½ large red onion, minced
  • 4 ribs of celery, diced
  • 1 cup of frozen peas, thawed
  • ½ cup of mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup of fresh dill, minced
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 tbsp of sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • ½ tsp of pepper

How to Make Tuna Macaroni Salad:

Step 1

Place a large pot on a stove over medium-high heat, then fill it with water, and add some salt. Bring it to a boil, then add the noodles, and cook them for about 7 to 8 minutes or according to the package instructions.

Step 2

While waiting for the pasta to cook prepare the sauce, add the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, dill, sugar, relish, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl, then whisk everything until fully combined, and set it aside.

Step 3

Check the pasta and once done cooking, turn off the heat, then drain off all the water, and rinse the pasta in cold water until cooled making sure it’s drained well. In a separate large mixing bowl, add the cooked and drained noodles, tuna, eggs, onion, celery, and peas.

Step 4

Toss them together until evenly distributed, and then pour the prepared sauce over them, then continue to toss until everything is well coated. Cover it with plastic, and place it in the fridge to chill for at least 1 hour. Serve and enjoy!
