Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken, cut up
  • Olive oil
  • Weber’s savory steakhouse seasoning
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder

Onion soup mixture

  • 1 family size can cream of chicken
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pack Lipton onion soup mix
  • Black pepper
  • Knorr’s chicken flavoring
  • Chicken spice blend
  • Dried oregano leaves
  • Parsley leaves
  • Dried or fresh basil
  • 3 cups Uncle Ben’s rice
  • 3 cups water

Directions:

Step 1

After cleaning the chicken, place them in a large mixing bowl, then add the oil, seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder, and toss them around until evenly covered with the seasonings. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then line up the seasoned chicken and put it in a preheated oven at 395 degrees. Let the chicken bake for about 15 to 20 minutes. In a separate large mixing bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, onion soup, black pepper, chicken flavoring, chicken spice blend, dried oregano leaves, parsley leaves, basil, and chopped onion.

Step 2

Whisk them all together until well combined and uniform, then pour them into a baking dish filled with about 2 to 3 cups of water, and whisk them until nice and smooth. Add the rice, whisk until incorporated, then put the baked chicken on top lining them up nicely, and cover with a sheet of aluminum foil. Put it in the oven, then let them bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Once done baking, take it out of the oven, remove the foil, and check if the rice is ready, if not, then put it back in the oven, and let bake for a few more minutes until cooked through.
