Ingredients for Slow Cooker Apple Butter:

• 5 pounds of apples
• 1 cup of brown sugar
• 1 tbsp of ground cinnamon
• ½ tsp of ground nutmeg
• ¼ tsp of ground cloves
• ¼ tsp of salt

How to Make Slow Cooker Apple Butter:

Step 1

Peel the skin off of the apples, then remove the core, and slice them. Place the sliced apples in the slow cooker, then add in the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt, and stir everything together until combined.

Step 2

Cover the slow cooker with the lid, then allow the mixture to cook on a high setting for about 5 hours or on a low setting for 8 to 10 hours. Once the apples are cooked, transfer the mixture to a blender or use an immersion blender to blend the mixture until very smooth. Serve and enjoy!
