This is also a great quilt project to use your stash of fabrics effectively leaving little to no leftovers at all! Learn how now by reading the step-by-step instructions below, and make sure to watch the video tutorial as well for more details.
Step 1
Cut the fabric pieces into strips and a rectangle as instructed in the video tutorial, then take 2 contrasting strips, and line up their edges with 1 strip horizontal and the other vertical, making sure that their right sides are facing. Stitch them diagonally, then cut off the excess layers, and flip the fabric open.
Step 2
Lay the rectangle at the center of your work surface vertically, then place the strip unit above the edges making sure that the joined seams are centered, measure the length you’ll need, and cut the excess. Do the same for one side, then make another strip unit of a different color combination.
Step 3
Cut what you’ll need for the other side and bottom, then stitch them to the center block one at a time, and press the seams. As demonstrated in the video, keep making and adding strip units all around the sides, then finish your quilt however you want.
