When I found this awesome video recipe tutorial for Salisbury steak by Food Wishes, on YouTube, made with delicious hamburger patties and I had to try it. I love Salisbury Steak and I also love onions and gravy so it was an obvious choice for a great dinner idea. The recipe couldn’t be easier it can be made with regular hamburger meat, or you can make your steaks by using ground chuck, ground round, or I like to use ground brisket because brisket is especially tasty in a recipe like this and brisket is not just for barbecue, so don’t be fooled, brisket gives a really interesting result to any type of casserole or crockpot dish. I started gathering my ingredients as soon as I could because the way this recipe looked in the Youtube video was so amazing I wanted to make it right away to surprise my husband when he got home from work.

Ingredients For The Easy Salisbury Steak Recipe:

For The Steaks:

• 1 pound of ground beef (of your choice)
• 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
• 1 teaspoon of dry mustard
• 2 tablespoons of ketchup
• 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce
• 1 tablespoon of soy sauce (I like to use tamari soy)
• 1 large egg (beaten)
• 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
• 1/2 cup of bread crumbs

For The Salisbury Gravy:

• 2 tablespoons of salted butter
• 12 large white button mushrooms (sliced)
• 1 cup of onions (diced)
• 1 pinch of salt
• 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
• 2 tablespoons of ketchup
• 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce
• 3 cups of high-quality beef broth (low sodium)
• Salt (to taste)
• 2 tablespoons of salted butter
