Materials for Quilted Shopping Tote Bag:
- Print fabric
- Lining fabric
- Backing fabric
- Batting fabric
- Ruler
- Scissors or rotary cutter and a cutting mat
- Marking pen, pencil, or chalk
- Fabric pins
- Needle and thread
- Iron, for pressing
- Sewing machine

How to Make a Quilted Shopping Tote Bag:
Step 1
Download and print the pattern, then trim around the tote design, turn to the instruction sheet, and start cutting the fabric pieces out. Attach the backing to the printed base materials with fabric pins, then sew on the solid line around the edge of the tote.

Step 2
Take piece 1 and put it on the number 1 rectangle with its right side up, then put piece 2 above it with their right sides facing, and pin them in position. Stitch them with ¼ inch seam allowance through all the layers on one side, then open up the seam so the fabric 2 lands on the next placement line, and finger press the seams.
Step 3
Do the same steps of adding piece 3 to the other side, then continue adding the pieces in numerical order until everything is covered. Turn the lining side out and trim close to the edges of the stitching line, then prepare the strap of the bag, and assemble the tote bag pieces. Watch the video tutorial for more details.
