How to Make Pipe Cleaner Flower Tulips

Step 1: Fold 2 pipe cleaners in half, then insert 1 pipe cleaner into the other, and twist it twice. Fold down both sides.

Step 2: Twist the 2 center pipe cleaners by 5 cm from the center knot, then twist the sides together, and twist the two together in the middle. (Note: The measurement for twisting is 5 cm for large petals.)

Step 3: Insert 1 pipe cleaner from the back and through the slit. Bring them together at the top, then twist all of them to lock in place, and push the tail outward.

NOTE: At this point, the steps are similar, but use a 4 cm measurement when twisting the pipe cleaner from the knot.

Step 4: After forming the smaller petal, twist the tail and lock it in place, then push it inside petal. Proceed to make a total of 3 small and 3 large petals.

Step 5: Assemble the smaller petals first, then glue the larger petals, making sure to position the larger petals right where the small petals meet on the sides.

Step 6: For the leaves, fold 2 pipe cleaners in half, then insert 1 into the other, and fold them down the sides.

Step 7: Twist the ends to secure. Make 2 leaves.

Step 8: Attach the leaves using floral tape.
