This nostalgic recipe by In The Kitchen With Matt on YouTube is going to make your holidays extra special. Surely both kids and adults alike will immediately eat these yummy treats once served on the table. This is also very easy to prepare with only 4 simple ingredients, you can make these ahead of the date, then serve it when ready. You can prepare this for any party or even on an ordinary day, just make some, then store it, and eat whenever you crave it.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of chocolate chips
  • 2½ cups of white chocolate chips
  • ¼ tsp of peppermint extract, or more to taste
  • 20-22 mini candy canes, crushed

Directions:

Step 1

Put the candy canes in a Ziploc bag, then crush them, and set them aside. Put the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, then heat them up at 30-second intervals until nice and melted, and then give them a good stir until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, then spread it out into a thin layer using a spatula, and put it in the fridge to freeze for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 2

Melt the white chocolate, then mix it together with the peppermint extract until well combined, remove the chocolate from the fridge, and pour the melted white chocolate over the top spreading it out in a thin layer. Sprinkle the crushed candy canes all over the top, then put the baking sheet back into the fridge for about 45 to 60 minutes or freeze for 30 to 45 minutes. Remove the sheet from the fridge, then break the peppermint bark into pieces, serve, and enjoy!
