Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of spaghetti
  • 28 ounces of crushed tomatoes
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese
  • 4 ounces of cottage cheese
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1½ pounds of ground beef
  • 1 tsp of oregano
  • 1 tsp of granulated garlic
  • ¼ tsp of red chili flakes
  • ¼ tsp of chili powder
  • 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup of parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

Step 1

Place a large pot on a stove over medium-low heat, then heat up some oil, and add the onions cooking them for a few minutes until translucent. Add the garlic, then give them a good stir, and let cook until fragrant. Next, add the ground beef, then toss, and cook until nice and brown. Season them with oregano, granulated garlic, chili powder, red chili flakes, tomato paste, salt, and pepper, then mix them all together until well combined and uniform, and add the crushed tomatoes. Give them a good stir to combine, then cover them with the lid, and let them simmer over medium-low heat for about an hour.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, add the cottage cheese and cream cheese, then season them with salt and pepper to taste, and mix until well combined. Add the cooked spaghetti to a casserole dish, then pour the cheese mixture on top, and toss them together until nice and combined. Transfer the meat sauce all over the spaghetti spreading it nice and even, then top it with mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, and oregano, and place it in the broiler to cook for about 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese has completely melted. Serve and enjoy!
