I love flower patterns in a quilt and have tried a couple before such as sunflower and rose. So, when I found this tulip quilt block by Teresa DownUnder on YouTube, I got so excited and I just knew that I had to give it a try.

Initially, I thought that this would be a complicated block to make, but it was surprisingly quick and easy, and I’m sure that even beginners can make this quilt block perfectly. Watch the video tutorial down below to learn how now.
Step 1
Download the pattern and roughly cut the template, then cut the fabric pieces about 1″ larger than the required shape, and fold the paper template along every line using a ruler, cardboard, or any hard object.
Step 2
Flip the template over so the back side is up, then place the first piece of fabric right side up, and pin it securely. Turn the paper over, then fold the paper back between A1 and A2, trim the excess fabric at ¼” from the fold, and add the next piece of fabric.
Step 3
Align the next piece A2 with its right side down on A1, then sew along the line between A1 and A2, turn it over, and fold the paper back between A2 and A3. Add the next piece as before, then sew along the line between A2 and A3, and continue adding pieces the same way.
Step 4
Finish stitching the quilt block, then trim off the excess fabric on all sides, and remove the paper at the back. If you want to make the stem and leaves quilt block as well, then continue to watch the video tutorial, and piece everything together using the template as you did earlier.
