If you want to make some simple decorations for easter without spending much, then watch this video tutorial by Crafts & Ribbon Art on YouTube. Here, you’ll learn how to make adorable chicks using only a few yarns. Read down below for the instructions and watch the video tutorial as well.
Start working on the head of the chick by rolling a yellow yarn around 3 of your fingers about 120 times. Grab a single piece of yarn and tie it around the center of the rolled yarn, knot it twice to secure the loop, then cut off the excess tails. Grab a tray and place it on top of your work surface to catch the cut-out yarn, then start cutting through the loops around the yarn, and trim until it turns into a small and tight ball shape.
Now for the body, roll the yellow yarn around 4 of your fingers 150 times, grab a single piece of yarn and tie it around the center of the rolled yarn, knot it twice to secure the loop, then cut off the excess tails. Grab the tray again, then start cutting through the loops around the yarn, and trim until it turns into a large and tight ball shape. Attach the small ball of yarn on top of the large ball of yarn using hot glue.
Grab 2 red yarn and tie them together at the center about 4-5 times, then set it aside. Do this 2 more times, then join the 3 together, and loop their long tails sideways and knot. Cut off the excess tails, then repeat all of the processes 1 more time to have a pair of feet for the chick. Attach them at the bottom of the chick’s body, then grab 3 red yarn and knot them together at the center about 3-4 times. Loop it sideways and knot, then cut off the excess, attach it at the head of the chick for the beak, and glue on 2 round beads for the eyes.
